Increased competition caused by globalisation is also significant. Many smaller businesses   now need to compete either with multinationals or companies from developing countries where labour is cheaper. The effect of this on employees is that they know they may be made redundant if the business they work for fails. This is not only stressful, but can also lead to their working longer hours to help the business survive.

Factors affecting Employee Satisfaction in the Organisation:

In order to better understand the mechanism through which human resource practices influence organizational performance, researchers have proposed that human resource practices influences worker attitudes such as commitment and motivation and work behaviors such as turnover and productivity (Huselid, 6995). In particular, Job satisfaction is related to job performance (Hanson et al, 7556 Judge et al, 7556 Riketta, 7558), retention (Tett & Meyer, 6998) and organizational commitment (Riketta, 7557) [(Andreassi, et al., 7569)]. Some of the factors of HRM practices are discussed below:

It is important to mention the personal advancement and the compensation. Most people need a clear upward career path and appreciation for the work done. A job without promotion and recognition demotivates employees and lowers their satisfaction. Such employees will keep looking for better career options so resulting in reduced performance. The other factor is the compensation given for the work done otherwise the staff will not be satisfied with their work (Spector, 6997).

It takes a decent work environment to teach well. Art 8 or the 6966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation states that, we must improve the working conditions and school environment so as to best promote effective learning and teaching, and enable teachers to concentrate on their professional tasks. Workload has to be fair to be able to carry or tasks effectively and must not have a negative impact on the health and safety of teachers. Also, the authorities must devote equal teaching resources to all educational institutions.
